Privacy Policy

Effective October 17, 2026. Last updated October 17, 2026.

Who we are

Basis Property Group is the registered fictitious name of Mountain Cur Brands LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company. This site explains cost segregation, gives free estimates and books calls. Clients who order a study sign, pay and send their documents through our client portal at app.basispropertygroup.com. This policy covers both.

What we collect

What you give us.

  • Estimate and contact forms (home page, /qualify, our cabin article): name, email, phone where the form asks for it, property address, and anything you type in the message box. On /qualify we also keep your quiz answers and the estimate range it showed you.
  • Contractor pages (/contractors and /roofers): name, email, company, trade, and phone on the partner form.
  • Listing audit (/airbnb-seo-audit): name and email.
  • Walt's Walkthrough (/walt): first and last name, email, ZIP code and an optional Airbnb listing link. The email box at the bottom of that page takes only an email.
  • Booking a call: Cal.com takes what you enter on its calendar and sends it to us when you book.
  • Anything you write when you email us or reply to us.

What we collect when you visit. The pages you view and the full address of each one, including anything after a question mark, like a campaign tag or the numbers in a /qualify estimate link. The site that sent you here. Your browser, device type, screen size and language. Where you click, the answers you pick in the /qualify quiz, and on /contractors how far you watch the training video. On the property pages linked from our mailed postcards, the numbers you type into the calculator. PostHog also gets your IP address when your browser connects to it. While the Meta pixel and Google Ads tag are off, our pages do not connect your browser to Meta or Google for advertising.

Technical details with a sign-up. When you send a form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are not a bot and gets your IP address and browser details. Our server also sends Meta (to its Conversions API, graph.facebook.com) your email address in scrambled (hashed) form, with your IP address, your browser details and the page you sent it from, so Meta can match the sign-up to our ads. This is separate from the Meta pixel and happens even while the pixel is off. It does the same when you book a call and when you watch the training video on /contractors. Your choices, below, explains how that stops.

From other sources. To prepare an estimate we use public county records, such as the recorded sale price and date for the property address you give us.

Cookies and similar storage

These are the cookies and browser storage items this site sets or lets other services set. The items from PostHog are not set when analytics is off for you (see Your choices). The Meta pixel and Google Ads items are not set while those tags are off, but a browser that visited before they were switched off may still hold some of them until they expire or you clear them.

Meta and Google can also keep cookies on their own websites, such as Meta's fr cookie on facebook.com when you are signed in to Facebook. This site cannot read or clear those. Our client portal sets no cookies and saves nothing in your browser. Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment page.

Outside services

These outside services get technical details, including your IP address, when you visit or when you send a form:

  • Analytics: PostHog, which keeps our analytics data in the United States.
  • Advertising: the Meta pixel (Meta Platforms) and Google Ads (Google). Both are switched off while we are not running ads, so our pages do not send them anything from your browser for advertising. When they are on, they get the page you are on, your IP address, your browser details and their own cookie IDs, and they use them to measure our ads and to let us show ads to people who visited. The Meta pixel then also sends its events to two servers named in its Meta settings, one hosted on Amazon Web Services and one on Google Cloud. Our own server sends Meta your sign-ups and bookings whether or not the tags are on (see Sharing).
  • Spam check: Cloudflare Turnstile, on our forms.
  • Booking calendar: Cal.com. On our thank-you page the calendar loads right away and fills in the name, email, phone and address you just sent us. Inside the calendar, Cal.com reports errors to Sentry and shows the host's profile photo from Google.
  • Hosting and delivery: Cloudflare hosts this site, our forms, our lead records, the client portal and our videos.
  • Site speed and visit counts: Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, adds its own script (from static.cloudflareinsights.com) that reports page load times and page views to this site's own address. Cloudflare says it does not collect visitors' personal data or follow anyone across sites. It sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device, and it runs whether or not you turn our analytics off.
  • Fonts: the /walt page loads its fonts from Fontshare.
  • Email: Resend sends our emails from this site. Smartlead sends our outreach email.
  • Payments: Stripe, in the client portal.

Client portal and payments

  • No accounts. The portal has no passwords. Each order has a private link, and the link is the key: anyone who has it can open the order, so keep it to yourself. Each time the link is opened we record the IP address and browser that opened it.
  • Signing. When you sign, we record your name, title, email, your drawn signature, the date and time, your IP address and country, your browser, and a fingerprint of the exact agreement you signed.
  • Payments. Stripe takes your card or bank details. We never see your card number. We keep the amount, the date and Stripe's payment reference.
  • What you send us. Your intake answers and the files you upload, such as a closing statement, receipts and photos, are stored with Cloudflare. The engineers who prepare your study get them to do the work.
  • Deleting. Email privacy@basispropertygroup.com and we will delete your portal records, except what we must keep (see How long we keep it).

How we use it

We use it to answer you, prepare your estimate, send the emails described below, set up and hold calls, deliver a study you order, measure our ads and pages, and keep spam out. We do not use it for anything else without telling you first.

Sharing

We share what you give us with the outside services listed above, each for its own part of the work, and with the engineers who prepare your study if you order one. Our server sends Meta the sign-ups, bookings and training video progress described above, for advertising. When the Meta pixel and Google Ads tag are on, they send Meta and Google the visits and events described above too. We also share information when the law requires it.

Your choices

Analytics and ads on this browser. Turning analytics off here stops PostHog on this site, and stops our server sending your sign-ups to Meta. The Meta pixel and Google Ads tag are already off while we are not running ads.

  • Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. If your browser sends either signal, we do not run PostHog, the Meta pixel or Google Ads for you, and our server does not send your sign-ups to Meta.
  • Cookies and site data. You can block or clear cookies and site data in your browser at any time.
  • Email. Reply stop to any email from us and we will not email you again.
  • Delete. Email privacy@basispropertygroup.com with the word delete, or reply delete to any email from us, and we will remove what we hold about you, except what we must keep for tax and business records.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmitting or storing data is perfectly secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is for property owners, businesses and the professionals who work with them. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child sent us a form, tell us and we will remove it.

Where it is kept

PostHog keeps our analytics data in the United States. Cloudflare keeps our form records, the client portal and its files. Resend sends our email. Our site is hosted by Cloudflare.

How long we keep it

  • Form sign-ups and booking details: until you ask us to delete them.
  • Client orders, signed agreements, payment records and portal files: as long as we need them for tax and business records.
  • Analytics data: as long as our PostHog project keeps it.

Changes to this policy

We post changes on this page and update the date at the top.
